Club member’s latest thriller published

National Press Club member Rick Pullen’s latest political thriller, "Naked Truth," has just been published by KoehlerBooks. It is the sequel to "Naked Ambition," Pullen’s 2016 bestselling novel.

Pullen’s protagonists are always journalists who work for the fictional Washington Post-Examiner. His plots play off of current events. "Naked Ambition" followed a candidate running for the Republican nomination for president who was opposed by his own party. It was published in May, 2016, prior to Donald Trump’s nomination. "Naked Truth" is about the suspicious death of a Supreme Court Justice in west Texas. It was inspired by stories published by The Washington Post.

Pullen will be signing books at the University Club’s annual book festival at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28. It is the only day of the year the club, at 1135 16th St., N.W., is open to the public. His books are also available on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble.

Pullen joined the National Press Club in 1988. He is a former investigative reporter for various newspapers and founded two magazines. For the last 15 years he has been editor of Leader’s Edge magazine. In 2015 he was named to the Folio 100—the 100 most influential people in magazines. That same year he was runner-up for magazine editor of the year.
