Keane was sworn in as the Club’s 106th president in January. During her administration this year, she says the Club will continue to call attention to breaches of press freedom overseas but also highlight problems Washington-based journalists face when obtaining information from the federal government.

As a transportation reporter at the Washington Bureau of Bloomberg News, Keane covers auto, rail and postal issues. She previously was an associate editor at Traffic World and a Washington correspondent for the Small Newspaper Group, covering issues of regional interest for newspapers in Minnesota, Illinois and Indiana.

Keane, a Minnesota native, earned her journalism degree at the University of Missouri. She also is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
