Club Scholarship Team seeks judges to pick this year's winners, June 22

The National Press Club Scholarship Team needs Club-member volunteers to select the 2019 scholarship winners on Saturday, June 22. Breakfast will start at 8:30 a.m. Judging will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m.

Volunteers will determine this year’s Zimmerman scholarship -- $5,000 for an incoming college freshman who plans to become a journalist -- and the Feldman Fellowship -- $5,000 for a journalism graduate student. Judges also will decide on a winner for the Diversity ward, a scholarship of up to $20,000 for an incoming college freshman who plans to become a journalist.

Your few hours on a Saturday morning could change a life, and could lead to a world-changing journalism achievement in the future.

A light breakfast (muffins, fruit, coffee, tea) will be provided. And $10 parking passes are available for the PMI lot at 1325 G ST NW. Please email [email protected] by June 18 if interested.
