Club seeks best coverage of aerospace, defense, airline industry

Journalists who cover specialties like aerospace, defense and the airline industry should start preparing their entries for the National Press Club journalism contest.

The Club is looking for the best work from 2020 about the issues, trends and watchdog journalism about these industries for the Michael A. Dornheim Award. This award is presented in celebration of the career of the late Michael Dornheim, a longtime reporter and editor at Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine. There is a $1,000 prize for the winner.

The cost of an entry is free for Club members and $75 for non-members. The contest includes categories for consumer news, politics, online journalism, breaking news, photos, coverage of elderly issues, stories about animals and their well-being, the media and other issues.

Details about the awards are available online. The deadline to get those entries in is April 15.

The awards will be presented this summer at an awards event by the National Press Club.
