Club's American Legion Post 20 arranging tour of Army Museum

American Legion Post 20, which is affiliated with the National Press Club, is arranging a special group tour of the new National Museum of the United States Army, located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The event, which is being planned but has not yet been scheduled, will be open to all Club members. The tour will take place in March or later. If you're interested in participating, please email Tom Young at [email protected], and let him know your preferences for day of the week. At least 10 need to sign up to get the group tour, so interest is being gauged at this time.

The museum, which tells the story of the Army since 1775, occupies 84 acres of the Fairfax County, Virginia, base. It had a virtual grand opening on Veterans Day in 2020. It is now open to the public. A 2020 list compiled by USA Today of the top 10 new attractions across the country had the Army museum at # 9. Find out more about the museum online.
