Communicators Summit plans to explore evolving communications landscape, Oct. 31

2019 NPC Communicator Summit

The future of news, communicating with journalists, the science behind better communicating, and legal issues facing practitioners is the focus of the National Press Club Communicators Annual Summit scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ballroom.

The cost for the summit is $95. A full agenda and registration information for the event is available online.

Morning speaker Richard Levick plans to discuss the implications for communicators when legal issues affecting the industry are in flux or evolving. How do we protect ourselves and do great work for our clients or organizations when communication, technology, and legal issues intersect?

A panel of academics and PR/communicator professionals are expected to talk about the science behind effective communications -- in theory and in practice.

A town hall featuring a panel of Washington-based journalists from various news organizations and mediums is slated to look at “The Road Ahead.”

Mike McCurry, former Clinton White House Press Secretary and communicator legend, is scheduled as the luncheon speaker to discuss crisis communications and other topics of importance to communicators.
