Countdown begins for Club's annual Crab Fest
Get ready to crack the shells and pick the crab meat to dip in the melted butter! The National Press Club's annual Crab Fest in the Reliable Source restaurant is almost here.
The popular crustaceans will be served along with a buffet of sides on Thursday, July 28, starting at 5:30 p.m. It's great way to celebrate summer 2016!
The Crab Fest buffet costs $30 per person for members and $35 for nonmembers, plus tax and gratuity. To make a reservation contact the Reliable Source at [email protected] or at 202-662-7443. Reservations are encouraged because this event has sold out in the past.

The Main event:
Hard shell crabs, quick boil with Old Bay seasoning
Available: Melted butter, vinegar, additional Old Bay, wedges of lemon
Grilled corn on the cob
Hush-puppies
Sweet and sour baked beans
Vegetarian cheddar and spicy tofu enchiladas, rustic tomato sauce
On the Salad Bar:
Country-style tarragon red skin potato salad
Shredded carrot salad with cranberries and raisins
Sweet and sour cucumbers with sweet onions
Mexican coleslaw
Caesar salad, parmesan croutons; anchovies available on side
Dessert Station:
Make your own banana split or berry sundae
Available: Hot fudge sauce, strawberry sauce, chunk pineapple, caramel sauce, nuts, Jimmies, whipped cream, wedges of watermelon
