'Country Editor' Loaned to Brooklyn Museum for Exhibit
The NPC’s Rockwell painting, “Norman Rockwell Visits a Country Editor,” is on its way to the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the second venue of the highly popular exhibit, “Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera,” sponsored by the Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass.
“Country Editor” appeared in the May 25, 1946, Saturday Evening Post and depicts the Monroe County Appeal, a weekly that has been published continuously in Paris, Mo., since 1867. It will return to its permanent home outside the Reliable Source on May 1, 2011.
