Covering the Middle East is subject of March 22 talk with Al-Monitor’s Amberin Zaman

Al-Monitor senior correspondent Amberin Zaman will take questions and reflect on her career as a foreign correspondent via Zoom at noon on Monday, March 22. Club members and the general public can register for the event on the Club website or here.

Zaman examines the politics of Turkey, Iraq and Syria for Al-Monitor and writes the outlet’s daily Briefly Turkey newsletter. 

Prior to joining Al-Monitor, Zaman covered Turkey, the Kurds and conflicts in the region for The Washington Post, the Daily Telegraph, the Los Angeles Times and  Voice of America. She served as The Economist's Turkey correspondent from1999 to 2016, and has worked as a columnist for several Turkish language outlets.  

The event will feature a moderated question-and-answer session. Participants will receive a unique link to access the virtual session on Zoom in their Eventbrite confirmation after completing registration.
