Daily Telegraph of London seeks Washington reporter

This role offers the chance to cover Donald Trump's presidency and American news more widely for one of Britain's best known newspapers.

The position will focus on online coverage - quick pieces on breaking news, live blogging major events, and standalone articles based on original reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a good news sense, an ability to turn around tight copy quickly, an understanding of what works online and an eagerness to help out wherever needed.

There will also be opportunities to do on the ground reporting, bring in exclusives and write for the printed newspaper as well as the website.

Covering American politics for a UK audience will be the main focus, though the role will involve non-political news reporting at times. It will also involve working some weekend shifts.
It is hoped the successful candidate will be free to start as soon as possible.

Interested candidates should email a concise cover letter, resume and clip to: Rachel Ray in the Daily Telegraph's Washington bureau at [email protected]
