Dine with Chertoff, Win Theodore Gift Certificate or Champagne at Fourth Estate Dinner Silent Auction

Lunch with former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, a $500 gift certificate to Theodore's furniture store and a wine caddy with a bottle of wine or champagne are among the items to be auctioned during the Oct. 15 Fourth Estate Award dinner honoring Bob Schieffer.

Chertoff is donating his time and a signed copy of his book, "Homeland Security: Assessing the First Five Years." Club member Theodore Kanter, owner of Theodore's, contributed the gift certificate, and Club member Gayela Bynum donated the caddy and champagne.

The silent auction helps raise money for the training and scholarship programs of the Club's non-profit arm, the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library.

Tickets are $125 for members; $175 for non-members. Club members may purchase one additional ticket at the member rate. Reserve at [email protected] or (202) 662-7501.
