Eat Russian, cheer American as Reliable Source offers special menu during Olympics

To coincide with the opening of the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, the National Press Club's Reliable Source restaurant will feature a Russian menu starting tomorrow (Feb. 7) and continuing throughout the games.

Although you won't actually be in Sochi, you can experience a bit of Russia at the Reliable Source by availing yourself of such special Russian menu items as beef stroganoff, beet and beef borscht and Russian rye pastrami sandwiches.

Prefer just a snack? A special Russian appetizer, pumpernickel grenki, will be available. Meanwhile, the bar will serve up special Olympics cocktails including both White and Black Russians; a pomegranate juice-based drink called From Russia with Love; and a vodka martini called Moscow Sour Grapes.

The Reliable Source will air Olympic coverage during all hours of operation from the breakfast buffet until the end of dinner service at 9:30 p.m.

The regular lunch buffet and lunch and dinner a la carte menus will be available.
