Entries now open for Club's annual photo exhibit

National Press Club members can enter their print photos and electronic images for the 19th annual photo exhibit from now through Friday, Aug. 24.

Members can submit up to six high-quality pictures for display: two print photos and four electronic images. All pictures must be the member's original work, taken only by the member, and not displayed in previous Club exhibits. Full guidelines, including deadlines, can be found online.

This is not a contest and no prizes will be awarded. It is a chance for members to display captured moments of events, places, and people.

Print photos should be sent or delivered in person to Membership Office, 529 14th Street NW, 13th floor, Washington, DC 20045. Check the exhibits guidelines for matting and mounting requirements, since loose photo prints are not accepted.

Electronic images should be sent by email as attachments to Noel St. John, the Club's photo coordinator, at [email protected]. In your email message, please give your name, Club member number, and telephone number. The exhibit guidelines spell out other requirements for file name, title, and caption on each image submitted.

The exhibit runs from Friday, Aug. 31, through Friday, Sept. 28. Print photos will be hung on fabric display panels in the Club's main lobby, with electronic images shown nearby in continuous-loop slideshows on big-screen monitors. Mark your calendars for the exhibit's gala opening reception on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 6:30-8 p.m.

Details are available online or contact Alan Kotok at [email protected].
