Financial Reporting Position Open at BNA

BNA seeks reporter to develop and maintain sources on financial issues in the government and private sector; remain current on issues and developments related to assigned beat(s) and publication; coordinate activities with other BNA reporters and editors who cover related beats; originate, propose, and develop story ideas; develop and maintain subject area knowledge related to unit's publication; edit stories from other publications for use in assigned and reference publication(s) that may include material written by outside authors; participate in special projects; and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements include 3 or more years’ experience in journalism, including at least 1 year reporting on subject areas covered by assigned publication; working knowledge of journalism principles and techniques; knowledge of federal and state legislative, regulatory and judicial processes; ability to report and write news stories and features with minimal editing under deadline; ability to develop and cover a beat, including developing sources, story ideas, and conducting interviews; proficiency in MS Office and ability to use BNA publishing system effectively with BNA training; and excellent proofreading skills.
