'First Friday Taco Night' celebrates Club milestones on April 7 (and there's a surprise!)

The new 'First Friday Taco Night' idea continues with a fun addition for April 7: Cake!

Spring brings important milestones for the National Press Club: The Club adopted our constitution on March 18, 1908, signed the official charter on April 1, 1908, and held the grand opening on May 18, 1908.

As the NPC moves into its 109th year, we will offer cake along with the usual Friday night taco bar in the Reliable Source on April 7 to members and their guests.

“First Friday Taco Night” is designed to help newer Club members get acquainted with the decades-old tradition of Friday night tacos, as well as to remind veteran members that Taco Night is a great member benefit – and to introduce one another in the process.

As a reminder, members and their guests can still come to Taco Night every Friday as usual, nothing changes here. The first Friday of each month, for those interested, can be a designated night to connect with other members, introduce potential members to the Club, get a tour of the Club facilities or meet some team leaders to learn more about how to get involved in programming and projects.
