Former White House photo archivist to speak, Nov. 15

National Press Club Photo Team member Janet Philips will speak to a team luncheon Wednesday, Nov. 15, at noon in the McClendon Room.

Phillips, who recently retired after nearly 30 years as photo archivist at the White House, will speak about her personal experiences serving under six Presidents, from Ronald Reagan through Donald Trump. Her talk will include a slideshow presentation.

Janet holds a bachelor's degree in religion from Mary Washington University and a master's in library science from Catholic University. Prior to joining the White House staff in 1988, she served as a photo librarian at The Washington Post and as a librarian at U.S. News and World Report.

The meeting will convene in the McClendon Room at noon. Lunch will be available at the Reliable Source Buffet. The program will start at about 12:30 and wrap up by 1:30. The meeting is free and open to all Club members and their guests. RSVPs are not essential, but would be appreciated.
