Former White House Photo Editor to Address Photo Committee, Noon, April 28

Jared Ragland, a former White House photo editor, will speak at the National Press Club Photography Committee luncheon meeting at noon on Wednesday, April 28, in the McClendon Room.

Ragland will discuss "From a Mop Bucket to the White House: An Unlikely Journey," which chronicles his path from his days as a janitor to becoming White House as a photo editor.

Ragland currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington. He also has worked on media advocacy and photo-documentary social justice projects for international aid organizations in Haiti, Uganda, Ukraine, and the Balkans. He is editing a photo book entitled, "President's Photographer," for the National Geographic Society.
