Free tax guides for journalists available at NPC library

Free copies of the 2015 Wolters Kluwer, CCH Tax Guide for Journalists are available for National Press Club members at the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library front desk. The guide provides tax help for reporters, freelance writers and photographers.

Developed specifically for print and electronic news reporters, photographers, freelance writers, professional bloggers and others who write for a living, the guide is a plain-language resource that provides quick, easy-to-find information for completing tax returns. It also includes up-to-date guidance for the tax year.

Published by Wolters Kluwer, CCH, the 2015 edition of the guide has been updated to include the changes in the tax laws and regulations, including those that specifically affect journalists.
Topics covered in the guide include; business expenses; foreign correspondents and others living abroad; income from awards, scholarships and grants; sales of copyrighted materials; libel insurance; professional dues; and home office deductions.
