Get crackin' at National Press Club's Annual Crab Fest on June 27

Get ready to crack the shells and pick the crab meat to dip in the melted butter! It is time for the National Press Club's Annual Crab Fest in the Reliable Source.

The popular crustaceans will be served along with a buffet of sides on Thursday, June 27, at 5:30 p.m. What a great way to celebrate summer 2019!

The Crab Fest Buffet is $32 per person for members and $37 for nonmembers plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are encouraged because this event has sold out in the past.

The Main event

Hard Shell Crabs, steamed with Old Bay seasoning


  • Melted Butter

  • Sriracha, hot chili sauce

  • Mignonette (vinegar with shallots/black pepper)

  • Old Bay seasoning

  • Wedges of lemon

On the side:


  • Grilled corn on the cob

  • Baked pinto beans with bacon

  • Vegetarian cheese enchiladas, green chiles, two cheeses, tomatillo and tomato sauce

On the Salad Bar


  • Cucumber, tomato and fresh pineapple salad

  • Potato salad, mustard vinaigrette, with deviled eggs

  • Coleslaw

Dessert Station


  • Wedges of watermelon; or

  • Make your own Banana Split or Sundae with Ice cream, Bananas, Chocolate Sauce, Strawberry Sauce, Caramel Sauce, Nuts, and Whipped Cream

Domestic and imported beers are available to compliment your crab fest dinner.
