Have you had dinner in the Reliable Source since service expanded to Thursdays, Fridays? Beat the Thanksgiving closing.

Dinner service is waiting for you at the National Press Club's Reliable Source restaurant, if you can make it on a Thursday or Friday. And you'll have a table waiting for you and the bartender standing by if you just simply reserve ahead. Make a reservation online.

Lunch is available Monday through Friday. The dinner service expanded over the summer to include Thursday evenings as well as the popular Friday Taco Night and dinner service.

As was discussed at the General Membership Meeting last month, if you want dinner service on other nights of the week, you need to be dining when the restaurant is currently open for dinner, to show there is an interest, before the Club ventures into adding more service.

Get there one evening the next three weeks -- then the Club and restaurant will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the observance of Thanksgiving.

Lunch service runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bar remains open after lunch service until 8 p.m. Dinner service is available Thursdays and Fridays beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Don’t forget Taco Night every Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Got visitors in town? Show them downtown D.C. and reserve a spot at the Reliable Source to show them a skyline view from the 14th floor as you relax from a day of sightseeing over a delicious meal and beverage.

Menu highlights include salmon and New York steak. A variety of sandwiches and wraps are available, as well as salads.

If you're putting together a big gathering, the McClendon Room and Cosgrove Lounge are available for Club members to host a reception, dinner or party. With a minimum spend of $250 in food and beverages, the rooms are available free of charge for members sponsoring the event.

If you can't make it to the Club for the meal because of your deadlines, consider take-out, which is still offered – Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Free parking is available with a minimum $25 purchase of food and beverage after 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays at One Parking, 1325 G Street NW.
