Help Wanted: Public Affairs Council has opening

The Public Affairs Council, an international association for public affairs professionals, is looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter to grow its government relations practice

This is someone’s chance to look around the corner at where the profession of government relations is going – or needs to go – and train the next generation of professionals in those essential skills and ways of working. Incumbent will conceive of and lead education programs on the practice of government relations and stakeholder engagement (effective interaction with NGOs, think tanks, academic institutions, community and business organizations and other constituencies). Working with council members, he or she also will plan and execute events in the states.

Candidates must have a minimum of three years direct government relations experience with proven results of lobbying and advocacy efforts; familiarity with corporate and/or association public affairs a plus.

Full job description and qualifications are available online. Please submit a well-written cover letter that speaks to your ideas and interest, as well as your resume and one writing sample to [email protected]. Applications are due Monday, April 23.
