House Historian Discusses Institutional History, 6:30 pm Nov. 16

Fred W. Beuttler, historian of the House of Representatives, will discuss the preservation of institutional history at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Bloomberg classroom adjacent to the Library. The meeting of the History and Heritage Committee is open to all; there is no charge for attendance.

Beuttler's office organizes and maintains a history of the House by collecting documents and artifacts and by conducting oral history interviews of members of the House.

Prior to assuming this position, he was an historian for the University of Illinois, where he directed the oral history project.
