Volunteers must be available for a 90-minute shift between 5 and 8:30 p.m. A few will be assigned to be stationed at the doors or to direct people from the elevators. Others will be assigned to assist authors.

Among the 90-plus authors scheduled for the event are Kitty Kelley, Eugene Robinson, George Allen, Suzanne Carriero, Ted Leonsis, Evan Thomas, Chelsey "Sully" B. Sullenberger, Debbie Macomber, John Heilemann, Mark Halperin, Nikki Giovanni, Spike Mendelsohn, James Zogby, Geoff Tracy, Mpho Tutu, Scott Simon, Paul Greenberg, Roy Peter Clark and Spencer Abraham. Diane Rehm, host of NPR's "The Diane Rehm Show," is the honorary chairwoman.

Admission to the 33rd annual fair is free for NPC members, $5 for non-members. No outside books permitted. A complete list of authors can be found at http://press.org/library/book-fair/authors-and-books
