It's Friday. Do you know where Club's “Virtual Taco Night” will be?

The National Press Club’s 113th President Michael Freedman and Reliable Source Manager Mesfin Mekonen will host “Virtual Taco Night" at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 15.

The event, sponsored by the Club's Events Committee, will feature Club member and president of the National Latino Farmers & Ranchers Trade Association Rudy Arredondo performing traditional Latin American guitar pieces. Club executive chef Susan Delbert will also demonstrate how to make the delectable Mango Chile-Lime Margarita (recipe below).

Club members are encouraged to buy drink ingredients in advance to prepare the drink together with their fellow members.

Mango Chile-Lime Margarita

  • 2 ripe mango (cubed, about 1 cup)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 limes  or small can frozen limeade
  • ½ cup silver tequila
  • 1 ounce (dash) triple sec or orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier)
  • 1 dash Tabasco (optional)
  • 1-3 Tbsp. agave nectar, honey or maple syrup (depends on sweetness of mango) (optional)
