It's St. Patrick's Day: Head to Reliable Source to raise a pint
National Press Club members and their guests are invited to the St. Patrick’s lunch and dinner at the Reliable Source today starting at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and 5:30 p.m. for dinner.
Menu highlights include sliced corned beef, Guinness beef stew and salmon. Special drinks are an Irish Coffee for $11 and Guinness on tap for $6.09.
Soup
Irish potato soup with leeks and edamame: $7
Salad
Irish Flag salad: Spinach, pears, oranges, feta, peas, and pistachios with orange vinaigrette: $7
Entrée choices
- Sliced corned beef, sautéed cabbage, roasted carrots, and green colcannon (mashed potatoes with rutabagas, turnips and scallions), mustard and horseradish on the side. $23
- Guinness beef stew with barley, turnips, mushrooms and peas garnished with roasted beets over rice or colcannon (green mashed potatoes): $23
- Irish oat crusted Atlantic salmon, colcannon, trio of fresh peas -- petite, snow peas and sugar snaps with diced carrots: $23
Dessert
- Plate of five Irish shortbread, including shamrocks and filled -- strawberry, plain, chocolate chip and/or caramel -- shortbread cookies: $7
- Bailey’s Irish Cream bread pudding served warm with caramel sauce on the side: $7
