Job opportunity: Washington Institute for Near East Policy seeks multimedia editor

The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the world’s leading research organization devoted exclusively to the study of the Middle East, seeks an individual to create video and other multimedia content to advance our research program as well as our development efforts. The individual will also manage the Institute’s in-house audio-visual productions.

The Multimedia Editor will work with our world-renowned staff of foreign policy professionals to produce videos and other multimedia content based on live events and policy papers for display online and at Institute conferences. The individual also will produce live events in the Institute’s new conference center and will facilitate teleconferences with Institute staff. In 2016, Institute videos featuring leading newsmakers were seen by more than 195,000 viewers online and Institute events were covered by the world’s leading media outlets.

The Multimedia Editor should have a portfolio of clips demonstrating the ability to produce professional quality videos from script to production to editing. In addition, the candidate should have familiarity with live video production technology. Proficiency with video, sound, and editing equipment required. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Background in public affairs and foreign policy are helpful.
