John Eaton to perform free concert at Friendship Heights Village Center March 27

Members are invited to enjoy an afternoon of jazz, blues and Broadway on Friday, March 27, at 1 p.m., when the inimitable John Eaton celebrates the music of George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen and other greats.

Renowned piano player, vocalist, musicologist, and humorist, Eaton, recipient of the Club's Order of the Owl, is considered one of the foremost interpreters of American music. From jazz clubs to the White House, Eaton has performed for over 30 years. He also teaches a very popular series of classes titled “American Songwriters” at the Smithsonian, Wolf Trap and the Friendship Heights Village Center. The concert is free.
