Join Ted Turner, T. Boone Pickens at luncheon head table, April 19

Ted Turner, Chairman of Ted Turner Enterprises and CNN Founder, will join T. Boone Pickens, founder of BP Capitol, to debate the future of America’s energy policies during a joint National Press Club luncheon, Tuesday, April 19.

Pickens will outline his “Pickens Plan” to reduce America’s dependence on OPEC oil with alternate energy sources and will discuss replacing oil with such renewable power sources as wind, solar power, and natural gas. Turner will discuss his views on renewable solar energy, including his recent solar projects in New Mexico and Atlanta, the state of the world, and nuclear disarmament.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. with the speech beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. The event is sold out.
