Journalism Institute announces 5 new programs in digital learning series
Five new National Press Club Journalism Institute programs offer journalists and communicators the opportunity to focus on craft and community while serving their readers.
On Tuesday, May 19, Washington Post reporter Jessica Contrera and Indiana University professor Kelley Benham French will discuss the importance of detail in documenting and reporting the impact of coronavirus. In “Writing Through: The power of details,” they’ll share how to consistently collect and select compelling details that evoke emotion and help convey impact.
The Zoom webinar will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is open.
The program is one in a series of free, digital programs that spotlight best practices and allow for questions, timed to fit into journalists’ busy schedules. Other programs in the Institute’s weekly series coming up are:
-
