Journalists, communicators explore diversity, equity, inclusion efforts, noon Dec. 2

The National Press Club Communicators’ Team will host a virtual “Critical Conversation” on the topic of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) at noon Thursday, Dec. 2.

The event will explore what organizations are doing to promote and implement DEI efforts among their employees and how they are communicating about them both internally and externally. This discussion will help both communicators and journalists, as well as the public, learn what some organizations are doing so that they can implement or enhance DE&I in their own workplaces.

Admission is free for National Press Club members. Non-member guests may attend for a $15 fee, with all proceeds going to support the Club's Staff Holiday Fund. Register online. Members must login to their accounts to access the registration page.

Participating on the panel:

  • Brandon Bell, diversity & inclusion lead, North America, Syngenta
  • Blair Hayes, chief diversity officer, University of Maryland Global Campus
  • Rhonda Mower, senior vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion, Volunteers of America
  • Andale Gross, race & ethnicity news editor, The Associated Press
