Journalists, embassy attaches mingle at Press Club

Journalists mingled with the press attaches of Washington embassies May 29 at an event sponsored by the International Correspondents Committee.

With music supplied by Rafael Javadov’s violins, representatives of Italy, Greece, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, among others, talked to the journalists about domestic updates, international affairs, history, art and other subjects as they built connections.

The event happens twice a year at the Press Club, one of several programs designed to connect the diplomatic community with the journalists that cover it, Other events have included embassy nights with Iraq, Kazakhstan, and Serbia; happy hours, conferences, and film screenings.
