Learn about Christian Science Monitor founder Mary Baker Eddy on Wednesday

Learn about Mary Baker Eddy, who founded the Christian Science Monitor at age 87, at a event from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, in the McClendon Room.

Allison J. Rose-Sonnesyn, government and media liaison for the Church of Christ, Scientist in Washington. will speak about Eddy’s trailblazing life and writing career.

Eddy, who published 15 books and in 1879 founded the church, was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame in 1995. The Women’s National Book Association selected her book “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” as “one of 75 books by women whose words have changed the world.”

The event is sponsored by the American Women Writers National Museum founded by Club member Janice Law.
