Learn from your fellow indie authors, Nov. 8

A group of independent authors has created another National Press Club membership benefit -- swapping marketing and distribution ideas for their books. The group's next gathering takes place Thursday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. in the McClendon Room.

Contact Ed Barks at [email protected] to reserve your seat. If you are unable to attend on Nov. 8, email Ed so that we can contact you with details of future meetings.

If you are an independent author, you're invited. The session is open to all Club members who have authored a book that is publicly available for sale (on Amazon, for instance) and who have been independently published (that is, not by a traditional publishing house).

Share advice you've gleaned as a result of your independent publishing experiences, and learn from fellow Club members who may be a bit farther along the authorship journey. Since we discuss exclusively the business aspects of authorship, this is not a writing critique group. We share successes and challenges with regard to the writing, publishing, marketing and distribution of our books.

There is no cost other than a willingness to contribute your thoughts to fellow authors. Coffee service is available from the Truman Lounge for those who wish.
