Library of Congress curator explores women cartoonists, illustrators, noon Oct. 17

National Press Club member Janice Law cordially invites all Club members to a noon Wednesday, Oct. 17, presentation, “Trailblazer American Women Cartoonists and Illustrators,” in the McClendon Room.

Some of the American women graphic artists to be profiled by Margaret Kennedy, curator of popular and applied graphic art in the Prints and Photograph Division of the Library of Congress (LOC), include Grace Drayton, Lynn Johnston, Sue Coe, Frances Jetter, Roz Chast, Raina Telgermeier, Rose O’Neill and Jillian Tamaki.

The free event is sponsored by American Women Writers National Museum, a nonprofit Law founded six years ago. Reservations are not required, but are greatly appreciated at [email protected].
