Long-time member John McCormick publishes two more Kindle ebooks

Long time NPC member John A McCormick has published two more Kindle ebooks.

Filled with pictures, “Sheep in the Rafters, the Story of Highland Ranch Sanctuary,” is the story of McCormick's ranch and animal rescue operation in central Pennsylvania, where he raised endangered horned St. Jacob Sheep, mini donkeys, mini horses, and one lonely emu, Harold.

"The View From Highland Ranch" is a collection of his columns (co-authored by his lead jackass, Jack) in The Punxsutawney Spirit. Punxsutawney PA, the home of Groundhog Day, is the quintessential American small town. Some are funny, some nostalgic, and the political commentary is, sadly, as relevant today as in 2003.

John, now Science Editor for www.perihelionsf.com and chief newsblaze.com correspondent, worked with two club presidents and Archivist Barbara Vandegrift to upgrade the NPC computer system and put the library, the Club, and luncheons on the Internet. With 17,000+ bylined articles, for more than two decades he wrote the Power User Column for Government Computer News (Post-Newsweek).

A severely disabled cancer survivor, he also advised the club on ADA compliance. His partial bibliography can be found here.

His wife and co-author, Beth Goldie, published what was probably the first ebook on disk in 1994 (Windcrest/McGraw-Hill).
