Make the Club's annual Holiday Buffet a highlight of the holiday season Dec. 11

No matter how many plans, activities and merriment you have in store during the holiday season, there's one highlight you won't want to miss: the National Press Club's annual Holiday Buffet and Jazz Night in the Reliable Source restaurant on Thursday, Dec. 11.

The event not only will feature special holiday-themed food, but also the return of the Greater U Street Jazz Collective, a group that performed at the Reliable Source Jazz Night in July of this year. Back by popular demand of Club members, the group will perform in the adjacent Truman Lounge during the buffet beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Also available are special cocktails to complement your buffet.

The price of the buffet is $25 for National Press Club members and $35 for nonmembers. Reservations are encouraged because this event has sold out in the past. To purchase tickets, click here.

Soup:
Spiced pumpkin soup with gruyere croutons

Salads:
Spinach with sugared cranberries, roast pumpkin, goat cheese and ginger dressing
Green salad with spiced apples, blue cheese, cinnamon pecans and apple cider vinaigrette
Caesar salad with Parmesan croutons; anchovies on the side
Jellied cranberries, oranges and walnuts

Hot Buffet:
Roast turkey (carved to order) with pecan and apple stuffing
Seven fish Christmas Eve stew with fennel, tomatoes and onions
Baked Ham with roasted pineapple and orange ginger glaze
Vegetarian portobello, porcini and button mushroom lasagna with béchamel
Wild rice pilaf with carrots, celery, cranberries and cashews
Mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy
Roasted Brussels sprouts Polonaise with black eyed peas and hazelnuts

Dessert:
Apple pie, cranberry sauce and ice cream
