Members' photo exhibit now open, continues through Sept. 29

The 2017 National Press Club members' photo exhibit is now open for viewing in the Club's main lobby.

The exhibit officially kicked off with a reception on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 6, and will continue through Sept. 29.

This year's exhibit features story-telling images from 49 Club members displaying a total of 174 photos in print and electronic form. Contributions from 25 members in the print exhibit include images seen only in the Club lobby, such as art forms found in bomb racks and missles aboard an aircraft carrier by Craig Shearman, close-ups of Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton by Julie Pixler during the 2016 Democratic primaries, and a boy getting a haircut at a vintage barber shop in Arlington.

Visitors can also see 126 photos from 37 members in the electronic exhibit, the first electronic display of members' photos, curated by the Club's photography coordinator, Noel St. John. The images are shown in continuous slideshows on eight monitors in the Club lobby, including two large-screen displays, and can be viewed online.
