Menu announced for New Orleans jazz night Thursday, Sept. 27

The menu has been finalized for the National Press Club's New Orleans dinner and Jazz Night on Thursday, Sept. 27. Dinner in the Reliable Source restaurant starts at 5:30 p.m. and jazz at 6 p.m.

Jambalaya Entrée Salad

Fried shrimp, bacon, ham, Cajun rice and red beans, tomatoes, peppers; Tabasco vinaigrette on mixed greens $18

Smoked Turkey and Andouille Gumbo

Rice dark roux with smoked turkey, New Orleans' favorite sausage and fried okra garnish over white rice $18

Creamed Oysters in a Boat

Oysters, cream sauce, hint of horseradish, and root vegetables in puffed pastry shell; Parmesan crisped crouton garnish. Side salad $18

Muffuletta Po’boy

The Ultimate N’awlins nosh: salami, prosciutto, mortadella, Provolone cheese, fresh tomatoes and two olive-pickled vegetable spread, oregano vinaigrette and crusty Italian roll. Pepperoncini and sweet potato fried on side $15

“Banana Foster” Sundae

Caramelized bananas in orange-ginger rum sauce, pecans and whipped cream $8
