New KAL Toons Grace The Walls In Reliable Source

Each spring, the walls of the Reliable Source receive a fresh application of cartoons from the winner of the Herblock Prize.

This year, the winner was Kevin Kallaugher who pens under the name KAL for the Baltimore Sun and The Economist. We had KAL over for lunch (he loved the crabcake) to see his work up on the wall with so many of the other greats.

While he was here, he asked for a quiet place to finish up a drawing for deadline. It was pretty cool to see tomorrow's cartoon taking shape today.

It has been an introspective year for cartoonists around the globe and a tough year for anyone who covers Baltimore. It was very interesting talking to KAL and we are looking for some way to have him back here to meet Club members at an event.
