New Orleans Jazz and Dinner coming up at NPC's Reliable Source on Thursday, April 21

Back by popular demand, the U Street Collective Jazz plans to entertain National Press Club members at a New Orleans Jazz and Dinner event on Thursday, April 21.

The NPC's Reliable Source plans to begin serving dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the music in the Truman Lounge is set to start at 6:30 p.m. To reserve a space, please contact the Reliable Source at [email protected] or 202-662-7443.

A special New Orleans-style food and drink menu is planned as follows:

• Oysters Rockefeller with spinach, pernod, bacon and bread crumbs, 6 for $11 or 12 for $18. Add rice and red beans for $21


• N’orlins Gumbo with shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, okra and sweet tomatoes over white rice for $22


• Pan fried Red Snapper with Shrimp Diane sauce, Red Beans and rice with steamed green beans for $20

• New Orleans rum punches $8
