New Orleans jazz and dinner night at Reliable Source on Thursday, Sept. 27

National Press Club members are invited to the popular New Orleans Jazz and Dinner Night on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Reliable Source restaurant.

Music by the U Street Jazz Collective starts at 6 p.m in the club's Truman Lounge, and the special New Orleans theme dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.

Jambalaya Entrée Salad
Fried shrimp, bacon, ham, Cajun rice and red beans, tomatoes, peppers; Tabasco vinaigrette on mixed greens $18

Smoked Turkey and Andouille Gumbo
Rice dark roux with smoked turkey, New Orleans favorite sausage and fried okra garnish. Over white rice $18

Creamed Oysters in a Boat
Oysters, cream sauce, hint of horseradish, and root vegetables in puffed pastry shell; Parmesan crisped crouton garnish. Side salad $18

Muffuletta Po’boy
The Ultimate N’awlins nosh: salami, prosciutto, mortadella, Provolone cheese, fresh tomatoes and two olive-pickled vegetable spread, oregano vinaigrette and crusty Italian roll. Pepperoncini and sweet potato fried on side $15
