Non-fungible tokens explored at next Photo Team Meeting, May 18

Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are generating considerable buzz among producers of creative works for authenticating their work and as a potential source of new income. The National Press Club's Photography Team will explore the role NFTs can play in photography at its virtual meeting on Tuesday, May 18, at 11 a.m. 

The webinar via Zoom is free and open to all Club members, but advanced registration is requested.

Financial services and technology lawyer Lee Schneider will lead the discussion. Schneider is general counsel of blockchain software company block.one, as well as co-host of the "Appetite for Disruption" podcast, and contributing editor for the Chambers and Partners FinTech Practice Guide. 

He will discuss the basics of NFTs and blockchain technology on which it's based, and their relevance to photography and digital media in general. The program will have ample time for questions from participants.
