Nonfiction Authors Association CEO to address Club's indie authors June 11

The club's informal group of independent authors will get an insider's view of the publishing world on Thursday, June 11, when it hears from Stephanie Chandler, CEO of the Nonfiction Authors Association. The meeting takes place via Zoom beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Chandler is the author of several books including The Nonfiction Book Publishing Plan: The Professional Guide to Profitable Self-Publishing and The Nonfiction Book Marketing Plan: Online and Offline Promotion Strategies to Build Your Audience and Sell More Books.

A frequent speaker at business events and on the radio, she has been featured in Entrepreneur, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and Wired magazine.

The June 11 meeting is one informal member benefit maintained during the club's reduction in services during the pandemic. Remote meetings will continue on a temporary basis until health and safety conditions permit.

The group is open to new attendees. Request an invitation by contacting Ed Barks at [email protected].

In order to be considered, you must indicate your experience with or interest in independent authorship (sometimes called self-publishing) when making your request, and you must be a Club member in good standing.

Independent authors manage their own publishing businesses rather than relying on agents and traditional publishing houses, gaining added control of their content and speed to market.
