NPC Communicators Breakfast on using video for issue advocacy, July 25

At the next National Press Club Communicators Breakfast on July 25, Communicator member and environmentalist Maggie Dewane will share her experience and thought process on making an educational video that captures (and keeps) the attention of our media-crazed society.

The breakfast will start at 8 a.m. in the Cosgrove Lounge, with a complimentary continental breakfast available for Club members. While this is a free event, please click here to register.

Earlier this year, Dewane traveled to Antarctica to gain a first-hand understanding of the planet’s changing climate. After shadowing a glaciologist and world-renowned ornithologist, she created a short video to document climate change as it affects one of the southern continent’s most iconic animals: the penguin.

Dewane is the press and communications officer to the Environmental Investigation Agency, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing environmental crime and proposing tangible solutions to those problems.

This event is part of the Communicators Breakfast series, hosted by the Club Communications Team.
