NPC's Reliable Source announces menu for annual Book Fair Roast Beef Buffet

National Press Club members and their guests are invited to attend the Annual Book Fair and Author Night/Roast Beef Buffet on Tuesday, Nov. 17 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the NPC's Reliable Source.

The price of the Roast Beef Buffet is $24 for Press Club members and $28 for nonmembers plus tax and gratitude. Reservations are encouraged because this event has sold out in the past.

These items are scheduled to be on the menu:

Soup

Wild rice, beef and mushroom soup

Salads:

• Greek salad with feta, olives, cucumbers and pepperoncini; oregano vinaigrette


• Wedges of iceberg lettuce, sweet onion, bacon, eggs and bleu cheese dressing


• Spinach, roasted butternut squash, feta, avocado and pepper almonds

• Pit smoked whole Beef Brisket, carved to order, with barbeque sauce, horseradish and mustard on the side and Brioche rolls available


• Chicken Fried Steak with white gravy


• Guinness Beef Stew with harvest vegetables


• Non-beef eaters’ Butternut squash lasagna with cranberries, hazelnuts and béchamel

• Chive and roasted garlic mashed potatoes


• Rice and quinoa pilaf with pecans and oranges


• Sautéed green beans, peas, corn, carrots and pearl onions
