NSA Director Paul Nakasone to address Headliners Luncheon, Sept. 28

Gen. Paul Nakasone, head of the National Security Agency and the U.S. Cyber Command, will speak at a National Press Club Headliners Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Later this year, Congress will consider whether to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which Nakasone has said is an essential tool for gathering information that "saves lives and protections the homeland." Section 702 permits the government to conduct targeted surveillance of non-U.S. citizens located outside the United States, with the compelled assistance of electronic communication service providers, to acquire foreign intelligence information.

Gen. Paul Nakasone will speak at the National Press Club on Sept. 28.
