Once upon a chef cookbook & wine dinner, June 5

The National Press Club Fourth Estate restaurant will be hosting a June 5 cookbook and wine dinner featuring Potomac, Maryland, native, Jennifer Segal, author of “The Once Upon a Chef Cookbook: 100 Tested, Perfected, and Family-Approved Recipes.” Hors-d'oeuvres and a specialty cocktail from the cookbook, White Sangria with Frozen Grapes, will be served starting at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served 7-9 p.m.

Jenn is the founder of Once Upon a Chef, a popular blog which showcases easy home recipes from a chef’s point of view. She honed her craft at Great Falls, Virginia's L'Auberge Chez Francois and has directed marketing for other restaurants. Her recipes have been featured in the Huffington Post, and on WJLA’s "Good Morning Washington" and Parade.com. Wines will be paired with every course; the exact vintner to be determined.

On Sunday, May 6, her book was No. 5 on The Washington Post list of non-fiction best-sellers.

Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here and are $85/single; $80 each/couples, with a copy of the book. Members receive a 15% discount ($68 and $136). Couples receive one copy of the book.
