Panelists explore where to find and cover coronavirus inequities, Monday, May 4

The novel coronavirus pandemic is amplifying racial and ethnic differences, with people of color more anxious about its consequences and more likely to lose their lives.

Join Ibram X. Kendi, a New York Times-bestselling author and the founding director of The Antiracist Research & Policy Center at American University, and Robert Samuels, Washington Post national reporter, for a discussion of coronavirus inequities and how journalists can cover them. 

The conversation and question-and-answer session with participants will be moderated by POLITICO reporter Shannon Young, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, on Zoom. Registration is open.

This program will also support local independent bookstore Solid State Books, which is selling signed copies of Kendi’s “How to be an antiracist.”
