Patricia Fenton, government information specialist, was 52-year Club member

Patricia Fenton, a 52-year member of the National Press Club, died March 27 at The Devon Senior Living in Devon, Pa. She was 93.

A long-time resident was Washington, D.C., Fenton started her writing career at 17 while in Brattleboro (Vt.) High School as a stringer for the Springfield (Mass.) Republican.

She served in the U.S. Navy with the WAVES during World War II and worked as a public information specialist with the U.S. Department of Labor and the President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped. Her writing and editing career included working for Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

She loved international travel and tennis and was a member of Washington's Daingerfield Island Cruising Fleet sailing club. Donations in her name may be made to Washington National Cathedral or Doctors Without Borders.
