Entries for the National Press Club's 23rd annual members photography exhibit are due this weekend: Friday, Aug. 12, for print photos and Saturday, Aug. 13, for electronic images. Members are encouraged to download and read the instructions before submitting their entries. Participants may enter up to two print photos and four electronic images in the exhibit. All entries must be members' original work and not shown in previous NPC member exhibits. All prints and images entered are shown in the Club's main 13th floor lobby through the month of September. And an online exhibit catalog tells about the photographers and the stories behind the entries. Remember, this is an exhibit and not a contest. There are no judges, nor prizes awarded. The Photo Team is looking for print photos and electronic images members consider special, either related to work or taken on their own -- photos or images that capture important moments, people, or events, or show colors or perspectives not often found in everyday photos. Here's the 2021 exhibit catalog with last year's photos and images. Print photos are hung with velcro on fabric display panels, and must be securely mounted on lightweight cardboard mats or foam-core. No glass, frames, or canvas are permitted. The maximum size of photo and mat cannot exceed 11 by 14 inches. Print photos should be sent or delivered to the Club's 13th floor reception desk by Friday, Aug. 12; see the instructions for mail/package delivery address. Please enter your print photos online. Electronic images are shown in continuous slideshows on two large-screen and two desktop display monitors. Pictures in landscape orientation fill up the screens better than portrait orientation, and the larger the image and higher the resolution the better. Please enter your electronic images online until Saturday, Aug. 13. One more reminder: The Club's 13th floor lobby is a public space, where families and people of all backgrounds congregate. Please keep that in mind as you choose your photos and images for display. Questions: Contact Photo Team co-chair Alan Kotok at [email protected].
